Fixins for iPhone Duo is available today
Fixins 1.2.1 lays the recipe and pantry app from real food creators out across both iPhone Duo displays, from the scanner to cooking mode, ahead of the device going on sale October 23.

A Dinner Date with Fixins
The film Fixins launched with in May 2026. A cook heads out for groceries, scans them into Fixins, cooks a recipe step by step, logs the finished plate and sits down to dinner.

Fixins is an iPhone app for the question every household asks at 6 p.m.: what can we make with what we have?
Scan your fridge or pantry and Fixins builds your kitchen inventory. You Can Make Now matches it against thousands of recipes from independent food creators. It shows what you can cook tonight, what you're one ingredient away from, and what to pick up to finish it. There's nothing to import or copy over: the recipes are already in the app, credited to the creators who made them. Those creators earn through the Fixins creator program, from a commission when you order a recipe's ingredients through Instacart (US and Canada) and a bonus when someone they bring to Fixins subscribes.
Fixins keeps track of your kitchen after the scan, and expiration alerts tell you what to use before it goes to waste. Kitchens are shared, so a household keeps one pantry and one grocery list, and Cook together lets two people follow the same recipe on their own phones. Photograph a meal to log its nutrition, track it against your goals, and save it to Apple Health.

Open it up
Fixins fills the whole inner display and lays itself out around the fold. Hold it sideways and recipes, cooking, nutrition and your kitchen settle onto both sides. Fold it partway and the buttons stay clear of the crease.
Scan with both sides
Hold it sideways and the camera fills the right, just like on the closed phone. Your pantry, today's meals or your recipe collection sits on the left. Swipe between scan modes and both sides move together.
Cook with both hands free
Ingredients sit next to the steps. Prop the phone on the counter and the step stands up while the ingredients lie flat. Fold or unfold mid-recipe and you stay on your step.
Your kitchen, docked
Fold the phone partway and your pantry and list slide in beside whatever you're looking at.

Speak your list, search the way you talk
Tap the mic and speak your grocery list; items land in aisle order. Search “easy chicken dinners” or “quick vegetarian pasta”, typed or spoken.
Siri
Ask “What can I make this week in Fixins?”, or add items and order groceries hands-free.
Instacart
Add what a recipe is missing to your list and check out with Instacart, in the US and Canada.
Expiration alerts
Fixins tells you what to use before it goes to waste.
Nutrition and Apple Health
Photograph a meal to log it, track it against your goals and save it to Apple Health. The sex, age, height and weight behind your goals are worked out on your iPhone and never leave it.
