BROOKLYN, N.Y., Oct. 16, 2026 — Fixins, the iPhone app that matches what's already in your kitchen to thousands of recipes from real food creators, will be ready for iPhone Duo when it goes on sale on October 23. The update, which Apple has approved, lays Fixins out across both of the device's displays and around its fold: the recipe on one side, the ingredients and your pantry on the other.
On iPhone Duo, Fixins fills the inner display when the phone is open and keeps every button clear of the crease when it is folded partway. Propped on the counter like a tiny laptop, the current step stands up while the ingredients lie flat below it, and folding or unfolding mid-recipe never loses your place. Held sideways, the scanner fills one side with the camera while the pantry fills in on the other.
Fixins starts from what you already have. Scan your fridge or pantry and You Can Make Now matches it against thousands of recipes from independent food creators: what you can cook tonight, what you are one ingredient away from, and what to pick up to finish it. There is nothing to import or copy over. The recipes are already in the app, credited to the creators who made them, and those creators earn when users order a recipe’s ingredients through Instacart, in the US and Canada.

On iPhone Duo
- Open it up. Fixins fills the whole inner display and lays itself out around the fold. Hold it sideways and recipes, cooking, nutrition and your kitchen settle onto both sides. Fold it partway and the buttons stay clear of the crease.
- Scan with both sides. Hold it sideways and the camera fills the right, just like on the closed phone. Your pantry, today's meals or your recipe collection sits on the left.
- Cook with both hands free. Ingredients sit next to the steps. Prop the phone on the counter and the step stands up while the ingredients lie flat. Fold or unfold mid-recipe and you stay on your step.
- Your kitchen, docked. Fold the phone partway and your pantry and list slide in beside whatever you're looking at.

Fixins is available now on the App Store for iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Update, October 17: Fixins 1.2.1, with the iPhone Duo layout, is now available on the App Store. Fixins on the App Store.
