Do we sell or share your personal information?

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never sell or share consumer health data (see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy).

There is one thing some state laws, including California's, may count as "sharing" (and, under some laws, a "sale"): advertising measurement in the iPhone App. Only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, the App sends Meta and TikTok a few app events (installs, sign-ups, subscriptions, and items added to your grocery list), your device's advertising identifier, and a one-way scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address, so they can measure our ads and show our ads to you and to people like you. We never send your email in readable form, and we send no email at all from devices in the EU, EEA, or UK. If you do not allow tracking, none of this is sent.

Our Websites run no advertising trackers from Meta, TikTok, Google, or anyone else.

How to opt out

In the App

Turn tracking off: on your iPhone, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and switch off Fixins (or "Allow Apps to Request to Track" for every app). The App reads the new setting the next time it starts and stops sending these events. Nothing else in the App changes.

By email

Email [email protected] with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share" from the address on your account. We will confirm, record your choice, and tell you if anything else is needed. You do not need to create an account, and we will not ask for more than we need to find yours. An authorized agent can make the request for you with your signed permission.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. On our Websites nothing is sold or shared to begin with, so the signal changes one thing you can see: we stop recording your session (we treat a Do Not Track signal the same way). Page-visit counting continues, without cookies, because it stays with us.

iPhone apps cannot receive a browser's GPC signal. In the App, the iOS tracking setting above is the equivalent choice, and it takes effect immediately.

Other requests

• See or download your data: email [email protected]. We answer within 30 days
• Correct it: most of it can be edited in the App; for anything else, email us
• Delete it: in the App, Settings > Profile > Delete account deletes your account and its data at once; or email us
• Consumer health data: see the rights and the consent choices in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
• Usage analytics: email us to opt out of product analytics

We will not treat you differently, charge you more, or offer you a lesser service because you used any of these choices. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject.
